Fire & Security Estimator
Location: Leicester, hybrid
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fire & Security Estimator to join our customers growing team based in Leicester. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating for Gent/Advanced fire alarm systems.
The role requires experience in tendering, including familiarity with construction projects and frameworks. You will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates for the installation and maintenance of security systems across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for the supply, installation, and maintenance of fire & security systems.
- Work closely with sales, design, and technical teams to understand project requirements and ensure estimates meet client specifications and budget.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, equipment, and subcontractors, ensuring all quotes and costs are competitive and realistic.
- Experience with Gent/Advanced fire alarm systems is a must.
- Review tender documentation, drawings, and site surveys to produce clear and accurate estimates.
- Manage the tender process, including the preparation of bid documents, submission of proposals, and follow-up with clients and contractors.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of tendering procedures, particularly in the construction sector, and contribute to the successful completion of projects under various frameworks.
- Stay up to date with industry developments, product innovations, and standards to ensure the best solutions are proposed to clients.
- Provide technical support and advice to clients as required, ensuring that solutions offered meet their needs and expectations.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals, presenting estimates to clients in a professional manner.
- Liaise with project managers and installation teams to ensure smooth project handovers and implementation.
