We are recruiting a job for an Accounts and Tax Semi-Senior or Senior level professional to join a leading accountancy practice in Leicester.

The role will be to work with clients and provide support predominantly around management accounts and year-end accounts, with the associated tax compliance and occasional advisory elements.

This an opportunity for a capable and ambitious person to flourish by gaining well-rounded compliance and advisory exposure.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Produce accounts
  • Clear queries with clients and highlight points for discussion
  • Liaise with HMRC
  • Work within a budget agreed at the planning stage.
  • Produce draft tax computations (for companies)
  • Inclusion of statutory disclosures in line with the company checklist.
  • Plan and control professional work for the firm's clients and identify basic planning opportunities.
  • Attend training to further develop and maintain technical skills, to work towards a professional qualification.
  • Professionally represent the firm and its interests in dealings with clients
  • Contribute to tax advisory projects.
  • Ensure that the firm’s standard processes are used in the production of compliance tax work and ensuring that technical standards are maintained.
  • Seek opportunities to increase client billings and to seek new clients for the practice where possible.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within an accounting firm.
  • Knowledge of Iris and Xero preferred, but not essential.
