Operating across the UK,theycollaborate with some of the largest transport operators, trailer manufacturers, and supermarkets. We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Hardware Engineer / Trailer Engineer to join our team as a Field-Based Telematics Engineer.
The role
- Visiting customer sites across the UK to install and serviceTelematicproducts
- Carrying out necessary service calls
- Arranging work permits, undergoing necessary health and safety training to work on third party sites
- Deliver exceptional customerservicewhile working under pressure
- Inventory management
- Keeping up to date with latest product developments
- Proactively sharing information and reporting issues
- Completing all admin accurately and in a timely manner, including accurately and efficiently complete electronic job cards
Responsibilities
- Working on HGV trailers and commercial vehicles
- Telematics, auto electronics or technical hardware
- In depth understanding of vehicle wiring diagrams
- Ability to diagnose and resolve telematics issues, so a knowledge of EBS systems such as Haldex,Wabcoand Knorr Bremse would be advantageous
- Able to work on your own initiative, solve problems and communicate effectively
- Knowledge of EBS CANbus would be useful.
