Job Role: Technical Paint SpecialistSalary: 35,000-40,000Location: Field Base- Travel to customer sites in the UK & Ire + occasional travel to EU sites .Job Description:As a Technical Paint Specialist, you will play a key role in providing expert advice and solutions to customers on paint products, applications, and technologies. You will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, recommending the best paint solutions, and offering technical support to ensure that our products meet performance and quality standards as a Technical Paint Specialist Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support: Provide expert advice on paint application techniques, surface preparation, drying times, and product suitability for specific projects or environments.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with the latest paint technologies, formulations, and coatings to offer the most effective solutions to clientsas a Technical Paint Specialist.
  • Customer Engagement: Work closely with customers to understand their needs and challenges, and recommend suitable paint products and systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve paint issues such as coverage, drying, adhesion, and surface preparation problems.
  • Training & Development: Conduct training sessions for staff, contractors, and clients on the correct use of paints and coatings.
  • Quality Control: Collaborate with the production and R&D teams to ensure that our paint products meet all technical specifications and customer expectations as a Technical Paint Specialist 
  • Project Management: Assist in the management of large-scale projects, providing technical guidance and support from inception to completion.
Requirements:
    • Qualifications:
      • A recognised training in a relevant coatings/paint field or equivalent work experience.
      • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work independently and adapt to different work environments.
      • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
    •  Tools and Equipment:
      • Utilize a variety of spray equipment, diagnostic and measuring equipment/ specialized instruments.
      • Stay updated on new tools and technologies to enhance job performance.
    • Customer Interaction:
      • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
      • Communicate effectively to understand customer needs and provide suitable solutions.
      • Manage customer expectations regarding service timelines and outcomes.
    • Travel Requirements:
      • travel to customer sites in the UK & Ire + occasional travel to EU sites .
      • Plan and coordinate travel logistics efficiently.
    • Reporting:
      • Provide detailed reports on service activities, including recommendations for improvements.
      • Collaborate with internal teams to share insights gained during field service visits.

      • Stay updated on product developments and industry trends through training programs.
