An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join a growing projects team as a Project & Health & Safety Coordinator. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities spanning supplier management, health and safety compliance, and onsite coordination. You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth project operations while upholding safety and quality standards.

Description of the role:

  • Maintain and update supply chain administration systems for accurate planning and reporting.
  • Oversee supplier selection, evaluation, and contract negotiation.
  • Negotiate and administer legal supplier contracts.
  • Manage external engineers' training needs and oversee compliance with relevant H&S standards.
  • Lead in-house health and safety training sessions.
  • Coordinate health and safety on construction sites, including site audits and RAMS issuance.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 regulations when acting as Principal Contractor.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses while maintaining records.
  • Oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance and servicing.
  • Ensure appropriate PPE is available for all staff.

About you:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications.
  • Understanding of building construction and associated trades (preferred).
