Shifts, Double Day or Night shifts

Gi Group are looking for a Wickman Operator to work on their double day shifts or night shifts.

The Employer

This company specialise in manufacturing nuts, bolts, and fasteners predominately for the aerospace industry. They are looking for Manual Machinist or individuals with a manufacturing or production mindset to join their expanding team due to their business rapidly growing.

The Job

  • To operate and set Wickman Machines
  • Loading and unloading the machine
  • Using measuring equipment i.e., verniers, callipers etc to inspect finished products for quality specification
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings
  • Working to small tolerances
  • Knowledge of tools and Peterson tooling, advantageous
  • 5/8 + 1 inch 6 spindle Wickman
  • Performing drilling, turning, reeming and operating

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in a manufacturing, mechanical or production environment
  • Working well as part of a team
  • Machining experience essential - Wickman cam auto
  • Proactive approach to work
  • Working under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Preferred 5 years minimum experience or engineering apprenticeship trained
