We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. This role involves carrying out inspections, servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of vehicles, plants, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct vehicle, plant, and equipment inspections, servicing, test preparations, fault diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs
  • Complete all necessary written or computerised records, including descriptions of work carried out, parts used, and time taken
  • Interpret information from drivers and equipment users, provide actionable advice, and give feedback on completed work
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks associated with the vehicle technician role
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Mandatory MOT Tester Certificate.
  • High level of communication and listening skills.
  • Relevant health & safety training for a vehicle maintenance workshop.
  • Proficient in using workshop ICT systems, vehicle diagnostics, and electronic job cards.
  • Skilled in diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults, including identifying necessary parts and equipment.
  • Ability to accurately record work and complete job sheets.
  • Knowledge of welding and ability to perform minor repairs using appropriate techniques is desirable.
  • Recognised industry apprenticeship or a Level 3 qualification in light/heavy vehicle or plant engineering.
