The Vehicle Technician position is based in Leicester with a salary range of £26,000 to £28,000 per annum plus a yearly bonus, bringing the on-target earnings to £31,000 - £33,000.
The role requires a Level 3 qualified technician with a full UK driving licence and ideally some manufacturer experience.
Key responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, diagnosing repair needs, conducting electronic health checks, and performing maintenance and repairs to high standards.
Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and a customer service focus, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, with one in four Saturdays required from 8 am to 1 pm, and various company benefits are offered, including a pension scheme and employee discounts.

Inspect customers’ vehicles/goods, prior to and on completion of service, maintenance or repair work.
Undertake diagnosis of repair requirements to vehicles.
Conduct electronic visual health checks (eVHC) on all vehicles and provide a comprehensive report with expert advice and recommendations for customers.
Carry out vehicle maintenance and repair in a safe and efficient manner to MOT and manufacturer standards.
Procure parts required to complete the work instructions.
Ensure a final inspection of all work is implemented and when requested, fully test if safety related or a customer concern.
Record accurate details of work done on Repair Order and other information required by policy and statutory procedure.

Skills and Qualifications:

You will be a Level 3 qualified vehicle technician with a full UK driving licence, ideally with manufacturer experience.
Excellent problem solving skills and strong attention to detail
A strong customer service focus with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
Outstanding organisation and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
