Factory Yard Worker

Job Role: Factory Yard WorkerLocation: Leicester, LE19Shift: 08:00am to 4:30pm Monday to FridayPay Rate: £12.50 to £14.00 per hour depending on experienceBenefits: Permanent position, free parking, company events, company pension, overtime available.

Our Client:

A manufacturing business based in South Leicestershire are seeking a reliable and hardworking Factory Yard Worker to join their team. As a Factory Yard Worker, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the factory yard, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities:

* Managing goods in and out* Operating a forklift (Counterbalance experience required)* Driving and general labour tasks* Keeping the yard and factory floor clean* Sorting waste into the correct containers* Unloading lorries with sheet materials and organizing storage in the factory* Loading our own vans and lorries

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Valid forklift operator certification and/or experience
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team

Day-to-day:

• Operating forklifts
• Driving the company van
• Assisting in the loading and unloading of trucks and containers
• Performing basic maintenance tasks
• Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the factory yard and storage areas
• Following all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure work environment
