We are looking for a Welder/ Fabricator to join our client based in Leicester on a permanent contract, on Morning Shift. Our client is a manufacturer parts for heavy plant machinery and quarry related powe banks.

Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding on heavy machinery components, steel frames, and other parts used in plant, quarry, and power bank equipment, ensuring strong, high-quality welds.
  • Read blueprints or technical drawings and fabricate metal parts or structures for heavy machinery, including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials to meet project specifications.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair machinery used in the quarry and plant, welding and fabricating parts to restore or enhance equipment functionality as needed.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of welds and fabricated components to ensure they meet safety standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring the durability and reliability of the machinery.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures when handling heavy machinery, welding equipment, and hazardous materials, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff in compliance with industry regulations.

Ideal candidate :

  • Proficient in MIG welding techniques with hands-on experience working with various metals such as steel and aluminium.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints to follow precise specifications.
  • Focused on delivering high-quality welds, ensuring precision and durability in every project.
  • Strong commitment to adhering to safety protocols and proper use of protective equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
