Nautical Insurance Services, part of The Circle Group, are currently recruiting an Assistant Underwriter on a35 hoursper week permanent contract (Monday-Friday) at our friendly Office in Leigh-on-Sea SS9 1SP.
If you currently work or have experience in a similar role and have a good understanding of key insurance principles, we would like to hear from you.
As our Assistant Underwriter,you will receive a competitive salary between £25-30k per annum plus a generous benefits package which includes: -

What will you do as our Assistant Underwriter?
Assist in the underwriting and expansion of a profitable account in full accord with binding authorities including agreed target loss ratios, whilst maintaining good relationships with Insurers, Brokers and Retail Customers.
Skills and Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence to advise and negotiate with clients and underwriters
- Ability to build, manage and develop relationships
- Accurate admin skills
- Numerical skills
- Ability to plan, prioritise and manage your time and to work on a number of projects concurrently
- Experienced pleasure craft insurance technician preferred but not essential
- CII qualification (or working towards)
