We are looking for an Experienced Estates Manager to work for one of our clients within the Wigan Area. This role will a 6-month fixed term contract working 37 hours across Monday -Friday with flexibility to work on ad hoc call outs and weekends. Paying a salary of £40,796 pro-rata.What will you be doing as a Estates Manager?The role will encompass a lot of different areas to include, facilities management, health and safety and risk management

  • You will be responsible for the site and buildings ensuring that all areas are in a fit and healthy state of repair
  • You will be ensuring that the compliance with regulations fits the purpose of any periodic testing of electrical systems across the site
  • You will oversee the contract cleaning for the site
  • You will monitor and oversee the security and CCTV for the site and other buildings
  • You will be managing a team of 3, offering comprehensive support, mentoring and coaching
  • You will be responsible for keeping an accurate record of incidents and accidents using RIDDOR guidelines
  • Annual inspections and site visits
  • Regular testing of all equipment, PAT testing for fixed appliance and inspection and control of legionella in accordance with health and safety
  • Manage inventory and stock control of supplies
  • Management of utilities, such as gas, water and waste management across the site
  • Fire evacuation and maintaining relationships with fire and ambulance services

We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

  • You may have experience across, estates, facilities, health and safety working as an experienced manager.
  • You will be familiar with COSHH handling
  • You will have a NEBOSH OR IOSH qualification
  • You will be familiar with risk assessments using RIDDOR technique
  • You will have managed or supervised other staff and used to a busy and fast paced role
  • You may have experience across, public sector, healthcare, NHS or charity sector
  • The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, ability to manage time effectively and work as part of a team
  • Also hold a UK drivers license
