Are you an experienced Painter and Decorator looking for a new exciting challenge? Look no further, this may just be the role you're looking for. You will be working for a very successful recreational facility close to Leigh. This role pays up to a salary of 27,000 and is an immediate start. Full time working hours 9am-5:30pm plus lots of benefits.

What will you be doing as a Painter & Decorator?

  • Mixing, matching and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces
  • To assist the assistant facilities manager to ensure that services and facilities operate effectively efficiently and safely
  • Assist in the planned preventative maintenance programme for the facilities
  • Ensure that all method statements and safe working practices are complied with
  • Ensure that resources are used efficiently
  • Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint
  • Handling planning and prep work in an efficient manner
  • Moving furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project
  • Calculating the number of materials and time required for projects
  • Removing fixtures such as doorknobs and light switch covers
  • Choosing and purchasing paint, brushes and other supplies from vendors
  • Cleaning up supplies and replacing fixtures when a project is complete
  • Ensure standards of work are maintained, and tasks are completed within the given
  • timescales

We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

  • 3 years within a similar painter and decorating role
  • Previous experience working in a commercial environment, dealing with big buildings
  • Awareness of relevant health and safety legislation
  • A valid driving license
  • Spraying Certificate
  • First Aid at Work Certificate
  • Manual handling training
