Early Years Teaching Assistant

Tradewind are currently recruiting for an early years Teaching Assistant or Nursery Nurse to work in a school Nursery located in Leigh.

The role is available immediately and will continue until July 2025. You will be working from 8:30am to 3:30pm, five days a week, with daily pay rates of £85-95 depending on experience.

As a Teaching Assistant or Nursery Nurse, you'll be responsible for supporting the learning and development of young children aged 2-5 years. You'll be working alongside experienced teachers and other professionals to create a fun, engaging and nurturing learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Supporting the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework

Assisting with planning and delivering activities and lessons

Building positive relationships with parents and carers

Supporting children with their personal care needs

Keeping records of children's progress and development

Contributing to the smooth running of the nursery

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • NVQ level 2 qualification or equivalent qualification
  • Experience of working with Early Years children
  • Experience of working in a relevant classroom environment
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
