Do you have experience in dealing with Switchgear or Controlgear Sytems, if so, we would love to hear from you. We have a new and fantastic opportunity for an Estimator to join the sales team of one of our leading engineering companies in Walkden.. This is a permanent role paying £32K - £35K depending on experience, working 39.5 hours per week.What will you be doing as an Estimator?

  • The role will be liaising with customers, dealing with technical enquiries and the preparation of quotes for Switchgear and Control gear Systems.
  • You may have worked as a mechancial fitter and familar with the workshop enviornement and looking to progress your career into the office
  • This design for the quotes will be made up of switch boards, modular panels and will be used in a variety of industries to source power
  • The design is mapped out by using either a 2d or 3d AutoCAD design.
  • Your role will be to use the clients drawing to configure the design using the AutoCAD system
  • To enable you to identify how the design can be built and what parts will be used
  • Once the design has been configured this will then be run their bespoke calcs system to itemise all parts and prices
  • Once the final design and quote is ready, you will then send to the customer with information

We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience: Ideally, we would love to hear from candidates with experience within an Electrical or Mechanical field.

  • You may have experience working for an electrical distributor or manufacturer
  • you be familar with Switchgear and Controlgear controls
  • You may have worked as a project engineer, estimator or electrical fitter
  • You may have experience in electrical engineering
  • You will be hands on and quick to learn
  • You may have experience in working on auto cad design and experienced in 2d or 3d imaging
  • You may have experience in designing kitchens
