Year 6 Teacher
We are recruiting for a Year 6 Teacher for a Primary School in Leigh (WN7) to work on a long-term basis starting after Feb half term until May half term!

The Year 6 Teacher role is to start Mon 24/02/25 and will be an on-going role until Fri 23/05/25. This role is working 5 x full days per week Monday to Friday 08:30am- 16:00pm. There are 29 children in the class and there is one full-time TA working on a one to one basis with an SEND child. The school would like someone who has previous KS2 teaching experience and someone who has strong behaviour management skills.

Your role & responsibilities:
- Teaching the children in class, ensuring they complete their work
- Guiding students through the curriculum, marking working, setting home working tasks
- Managing behaviour
- Upholding school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons
Non-negotiables:
- You must have relevant experience teaching pupils
- Hold QTS
- Knowledge of the national curriculum
- Be passionate and understanding
- Have confidence in managing classes of pupils
- Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
- Good communication skills
