Finance Assistant

Location: Leigh

Salary: up to circa £30,000

We have got a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Finance Assistant to join an AIM listed business who are embarking on a huge growth phase, based in Leigh.

Reporting into the Financial Controller and working closely with the Finance Director you will be involved in a range of finance duties, with the opportunity to progress and grow within the role. The company will offer a study package to support with continued learning and development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing purchase invoices in line with the company's approval process
  • Verifying inbound inventory against supplier invoices
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing weekly and monthly payrolls, including auto enrolment pensions
  • Assisting with management accounts including accruals and prepayments
  • Supporting with ad hoc reporting and assisting the financial controller with various analysis
  • Undertaking other finance tasks and general support for the team as required

The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised and have excellent attention to detail. You will be able to manage your workload, prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.

You must be highly numerate and have strong Microsoft Excel skills, with experience in a similar role.

The role will involve close collaboration with colleagues and other stakeholders, excellent written and verbal communication skills are therefore essential.
