Butler Rose is delighted to be partnered with a growing E-commerce / retail SME based in Leighton Buzzard who are looking to add an Accounts Assistant to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a business that is growing quickly, in a market that is only building in popularity and a company that has a global presence, working closely with a busy US based E-commerce market. This is a position to truly make your own. With the core duties of this role assisting the Financial Controller with transactional duties, the successful applicant requires previous experience in both purchase ledger and sales ledger - but beyond that this is a real opportunity to expand your experience. You will deal with analysis of sales (financial analysis), global sales tax, reconciliations and stock. You will liaise with various teams and departments in the UK and US to ensure smooth processes, as well as building and developing financial procedures. Working for a hugely supportive, friendly and approachable Financial Controller, within a small finance team, this is a role that will have a real impact on the wider business. Key attributes that we are looking for: - A confident, outgoing, ambitious and friendly nature - you work well off your own initiative and will be keen to support the development of the finance function and wider business as it grows, while in turn developing your own career within the business - You will be someone keen to work within a fast paced environment, and within an international working environment - You will ideally have Xero system experience and have good previous experience with Excel - You will have strong analytical, decision making and problem solving skills. - You will have good previous experience as an Accounts Assistant ideally within a retail/wholesale/Ecommerce environment This is a great role - working 35hrs/week on a hybrid basis (2 days from home, 3 from the office) with 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
