Job Title: Operations Quality Engineer
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 DOE
Location: Leighton Buzzard - Pension, Life Assurance, 25 days holiday & healthcare
Hours: 37.5 hours

In order to support their progression, we have an opportunity for an experienced Operations Quality Engineer to join their Quality Team.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of QMS requirements including BRC, ISO9001, ISO4000 and ISO45001, and experience in hosting or leading external/internal audits.
Key responsibilities for an Operations Quality Engineer
- Customer Complaint Handling - Maintain strong relations with customers to ensure all product specifications are clearly understood
- Lead team of 2 Coordinators
- Demonstrate and lead problem solving efforts via proven root cause investigation methods
- Collaborate with suppliers working towards a mutual commitment, managing challenges and understanding specifications and expectations
- Collaborate with other functions to support operations appropriate when product quality issues are detected, and support coordinating the steps to resolve any challenges
- Ensure the facility remains connected with ECR’s impacting the products and processes connected with the site operation
- Work with local teams including group functions, to ensure successful completion of change
- Support the Internal Audits, Validations, pFMEA, Metrology, Document Control
- Actively coach and support colleagues in problem solving and corrective action methods
- Support both the Local and the Global approach to ensure health & safety is adhered to
Essential skills for an Operations Quality Engineer
- Knowledge of QMS requirements, including related International Standards, BRC & ISO9001.
- Knowledge of Quality disciplines in an Operational environment, preferably high-volume manufacturing
- Strong Excel skills
- Demonstrable communication experience at all level.
- Team player with the ability to work at fast pace and on own initiative
- Practical skills in performing internal and external audits
