Chef de Partie | Bedfordshire | Full Time with a flexible shift pattern (5 days out of 7 on varied shift pattern including weekends) | £25,000 - £27,000 per annum

At Leighton Buzzard Golf Club we require an experienced Chef de Partie to work alongside our Sous Chef, Head Chef and Kitchen Assistants, within our busy kitchen.

We take pride in cooking and presenting a wide range of freshly prepared meals to our members, visiting golfers and our growing external function, weddings and private dining events.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Ability to work off own initiative and within a team
  • Positive, ‘hands on' and ‘can do' attitude
  • 3 Years experience as a Commis/Chef de Partie (Preferred but not essential).
  • Experienced working with Fresh Produce.
  • Ideally hold NVQ Level 2 in Professional Food Preparation, a level 2 Food Safety Certificate with knowledge and understanding of Allergens, HACCP and COSHH.
  • Work well alongside others in a methodical and clean manner with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints

What will your role look like?

  • Produce all necessary food for all food service operations as required and instructed by the Head Chef/Sous chef
  • Assisting the Head Chef/Sous chef in the day-to-day running of the Kitchen.
  • Assist in the development of daily/weekly Specials
  • To help in forward planning of golf and private functions
  • Maintaining quality and quantity control in all aspects, from portion control to freshness of the products and presentation
  • Ensure that the cleaning of kitchen is to the agreed standard
  • To ensure high personal hygiene
  • Ensure all club rules are always adhered to
  • Leading by example is vital for this position
  • To be aware of and act in accordance with set procedures including Fire and Health and Safety
  • Assist in the cleanliness upkeep of the Kitchen
  • To carry out any reasonable requests made by a member of the management team
