CNC Turner
Permanent Role based in Leighton Buzzard.
Salary paying up to £50k dependant on experience and shift.
We are recruitng for a CNC Turner for a Client in the Leighton Buzzard full time permanent role.
Experience Required
- Proven time served experience in programming, setting and operating 2 axis turning machines.
- Ability to write new CNC programs long hand at the machine with little or no supervision.
- Also, editing prewritten programs, the full machine setup including material, tooling, speeds, feeds.
- Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment.
- Producing one off, as well as low to medium volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals.
- Excellent working knowledge of 2 axis CNC machines, cutting speeds and feeds, geometric tolerances.
- Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards.
- Experience of Fanuc controls would be advantageous.
- Have a strong working history within the manufacturing industry within a machine shop environment.
- Have a hands-on, quality driven, positive, self-motivated manner in order to be able to hit the ground running.
- Confident in working on parts up to ¢300mm x 3m in length, using lifting equipment provided as some of our work can be large. Hoist training will also be provided.

- Salary depending on experience. (late shift will have a premium of time plus a third)
- The position is full-time and permanent, and an immediate start is available.
- Day Shift Hours are Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 2.30pm.
- Late Shift Hours are Monday - Wednesday 4.30pm - 3.30am, Thursday 4.30pm - 1.30am.
- Holidays are 20 days + 8 Bank Holidays + extra Bonus holiday days over the Christmas Period
