Description
Credit Control:
- Effective management of customer accounts to ensure timely payment.
- Performing credit checks on new customers and deciding on credit limits.
- Reconciliation of accounts and resolving any discrepancies.
- Working collaboratively with the sales team to resolve customer issues.
- Generating monthly reports on account statuses and debt age analysis.
- Proactively identifying problematic accounts and implementing solutions.
- Ensuring compliance with company credit policies and procedures.
- Continual improvement of cash flow by chasing overdue invoices.
Profile
A successful Credit Controller should have:
- A strong academic background in Accounting or Finance.
- Previous experience in a credit control or similar role in the retail industry.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
