We are currently recruiting for a Distribution Assistant to join a Leighton Buzzard based company. Our client are the market leader within their sector, and they are now recruiting due to company expansion and growth within the UK. Please note, this position is FULLY office based, with NO remote working.
Hours: 09:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week). There is no flexibility with this.
Contract: Perm, full time.
The Distribution Assistant will work in the Despatch Department, ensuring all goods in and out are processed to meet the company standard and customer expectations.
Duties:
- To work in accordance with the Work Instructions for each individual task required.
- To work with and alongside all couriers, to ensure lead times are met.
- Picking and Packing orders for both UK and Export.
- Monthly and annual stock take of all stock items.
- To ensure all products are checked, labelled, and pass pre-screening prior to dispatch.
- To reject non-conforming products.
- To always maintain a clean and safe environment.
- To complete any other necessary requirements to ensure smooth running of Despatch department.
- Assist in the smooth running of the company by assisting other areas when required.
Skills Required:
- High level in attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional support.
