Summary:
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: 6 months
- Location: Leighton Buzzard
- Pay Rate: 28.75 per hour
- Hours: 39 per week Monday - Thursday 07.00 - 16.00 , Friday 07.00-12.00
Duties Include:
- To fabricate components for our aerospace seating aftermarket business from aluminium sheets, steel sheets, tubing and extrusion
- Working from diagrams and drawings making components using various hand tools and shop floor machine equipment, ensuring that quality checks are maintained during the process.
- The type of machines and equipment commonly used in this role are:
- Trumpf, Brakepress , Cut off Saws, Guillotine,
- Hydraulic Press, Fly Press, Bandsaws, Spot-Welding machine,
- Combined Manual Mill/Drill and Pillar Drills.
- During inspection the use of Height Gauges, Protractors, Radius Gauges, Verniers and Micrometres would be required.
- The role also requires the employee to be competent in reading engineering drawings and be able to complete light assembly work.
- This role also requires the employee to load and form components, as well as running all machines on the cell.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of machinery and operation, in line with the role specification.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of administration skills and is computer literate with Microsoft Office.
- Problem Solving Skills within an engineering environment
- Able to read, understand and interpret engineering information
