Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated 2 – 4 year PQE+ Solicitor to join their Court of Protection & Trusts team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in COP matters who is confident in managing their own caseload and providing exceptional client service.Our client’s Court of Protection and PI Trusts team is growing, and they are seeking a dedicated fee earner to uphold their high standards of client care. The team specialises in supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries who have received substantial compensation. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional to advance their career while working closely with senior team members. Private client experience is beneficial.The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while supporting a busy team. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll be liaising with clients, professional deputies, and other stakeholders via phone, email, and in person.   • Independently manage Professional Deputyship matters with minimal supervision.
  • Oversee Personal Injury Trusts cases with autonomy and efficiency.
  • Continuously develop expertise in Court of Protection and Personal Injury Trusts
  • Implement Senior Management’s directives on billing, time recording, and departmental expenditure in line with the business plan.
  • Accurately record all chargeable and non-chargeable time.
  • Maintain and manage the department’s document management system.
  • Ensure compliance with all Court of Protection and Trusts regulations.
  • Promote the firm’s services to potential clients and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Engage in marketing activities, including attending networking meetings, writing articles, and other promotional work.
  • Keep relevant website content accurate and legally compliant.
  • Attend training courses, conferences, and seminars to stay updated and meet annual training requirements.
  • Maintain Lexcel standard requirements, including updating department procedures and client-related letter templates.
  • Supervise and support staff, ensuring performance standards are met and providing training where necessary.
  • Delegate work effectively while ensuring matters progress smoothly.
  • Adhere to the firm’s policies and procedures, including compliance with employment regulations, anti-money laundering policies, IT security, health & safety, and client care standards.
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as required by the business.
