Our client, a prestigious and well-established firm in Leighton Buzzard, is looking for a skilled Private Client practitioner with 5-6 years PQE to join their growing Wills, Trusts, and Probate team.About the Role This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a team renowned for its exceptional client care and commitment to high standards. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Department and other team members, delivering high-quality legal services across a wide range of private client matters.You’ll play a pivotal role in the department, handling a varied caseload including Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, and Trusts. The role also involves advising on complex, high-net-worth estates, making it ideal for someone with advanced technical expertise looking to take the next step in their career.Key Responsibilities
  • Advising on inheritance tax and estate planning, including agricultural and business property reliefs.
  • Drafting Trusts and complex Will provisions to meet clients’ bespoke needs.
  • Managing estate and trust administration, including HMRC returns for probate.
  • Handling Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) instructions and registrations.
  • Delivering proactive and detailed advice on tax reliefs applicable to trusts and estates.
  • Contributing to marketing initiatives and supporting the firm’s growth objectives.
About You To excel in this role, you will have:
  • 5-6 years PQE as a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with substantive Private Client experience.
  • STEP qualification/accreditation (advantageous but not essential).
  • Exceptional client care, communication, and team collaboration skills.
  • Strong technical expertise in Wills, Trusts, and complex estate administration.
  • A commercial mindset and confidence in networking and business development.
  • Proficiency with case management systems and Microsoft Office.
