Payroll Administrator

Leighton Buzzard (Office-Based)
£30,000 per annum
37.5 hours per week 

We are seeking a Payroll, Benefits & Reporting Administrator to join our clients HR team. This role will involve managing payroll processes, administering employee benefits, and producing HR reports, all while ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll:

  • Prepare monthly payroll submissions for outsourced Payroll Advisors and third-party vendors.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee payroll queries and issues.
  • Collaborate with outsourced Payroll Advisors to resolve complex payroll issues.
  • Perform statutory payroll tasks, including issuing SMP, SPP, P45s, P11Ds, and P60s.

Benefits:

  • Administer benefits such as pensions, PMI, death in service, and reward programs.
  • Manage relationships with benefit providers and oversee annual benefit renewals.
  • Handle the company pension scheme, including monthly updates and addressing pension queries.
  • Research and propose benefits and pension options for the business.
  • Create and execute employee communications and promotional content for benefits programs.

Data & Reporting:

  • Produce monthly and ad-hoc HR reports, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop and maintain HR KPI reports.
  • Manage the HRIS, ensuring accurate HR data and updating the system as required.
  • Oversee calculation and reporting of overtime payments, and administer time and attendance systems.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with in-house payroll, benefits, pensions, and compensation.
  • Excellent knowledge of payroll processes, including auto-enrolment for pensions.
  • Excellent working knowledge in IT packages such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven experience developing new processes around payroll and benefits.
  • Excel expertise is essential, with experience in producing HR reports and insights.
  • ADP system experience is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a team player mentality.
  • Good organisational skills, able to manage priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and provide effective HR solutions.
