A prominent organisation in the Aerospace industry is currently seeking an immediately available Purchasing Project Manager to join their team in Pitstone on a 12 month contract.
This is a critical role in Pitstone, that requires Aerospace industry experience and strong leadership to drive cost-reduction initiatives and manage Transfers of Work (TOW).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of Transfers of Work (TOW), focusing on the transition of manufacturing processes, sourcing strategies, and supplier partnerships.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise costs, negotiating the best terms and prices with suppliers.
- Oversee purchasing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with the company's objectives.
- Ensure all activities meet aerospace regulations and internal quality standards.
- Proactively identify procurement risks and develop effective mitigation strategies, keeping senior management informed.
- Assist the NPI team with new program developments.
Qualifications & Experience:
- PMP certification
- Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt minimum)
- Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, and MS Office Suite.
- Familiarity with MS Project and SQL is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
