ACCURACY CHECKING TECHNICIAN
BASED: POLAR SPEED DISTRIBUTION LIMITED, SITE 1 CHARTMOOR ROAD, LEIGHTON BUZZARD, LU7 4WG
HOURS : MONDAY - FRIDAY - 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK - 9.30AM - 6PM - Flexibility required as shift patterns may vary to suit the needs of the business, which may be of an urgent medical nature.
SALARY: £31,683.12 PER ANNUM

We are now looking for an Accuracy Checking Technician to join our busy Leighton Buzzard Pharmacy
You will be required to provide accurate final checking on homecare prescriptions, as well as technical dispensing assistance to the Responsible Pharmacist.

Key responsibilities:
To comply with all required GPhC standards for registration as an Accuracy Checking Technician.
Carry out final checking of dispensed items in accordance with approved protocols and standard operating procedures.
Supervise and participate in the dispensing and supply of medicinal products in accordance with the requirements of: The Medicine Act, Medicines, Ethics and Practise guide, good distribution practice.
Ensure all activities meet and integrate with Quality Management Systems, Health and Safety requirements, COSSH regulations and environmental policies.
Actively drive the Clinical Governance standards within the Pharmacy services, and assist in regular performance audits.
Actively participate in the training and development of the Pharmacy team.
Key Skills/Experience/Requirements:
NVQ Level 3, Pharmacy Services, plus Accuracy Checking Technician qualification.
Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Meticulous and thorough with an excellent attention to details.
Able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines, whilst motivating others to achieve success.
Team player mentality with the ability to work on own initiative, self motivated to deliver continuous improvements.
Demonstrate a clear patient focus.
