Supply Desk are looking to appoint an inspiring and dedicated Design and Technology teacher to work 5 day per week in a school located in the Leighton Buzzard area. If you are passionate about the power of delivering creative and innovative lessons to students and making a difference in shaping their young mind. This role will an exciting prospect for your teaching development.

The Role:

  • Develop and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons to students, fostering their creativity and critical thinking skills.
  • Teach various aspects of Design and Technology, including graphic design, product design, electronics, textiles, and materials technology.
  • Incorporate hands-on activities, projects, and problem-solving tasks to enhance students' practical skills and understanding of design principles.
  • Guide students in effectively utilising design software, tools, and equipment, ensuring their safety and proper use.

 

The Ideal Candidate: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Design and Technology Education or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification is desirable
  • Knowledge or experience teaching engineering is desirable
  • However, any teachers with proven experience in teaching Design and Technology at the secondary level are welcome to apply
