Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Procurement Engineer to be engaged on a permanent basis to be located in Leiston, Suffolk.
Requirements
- Maintain & manage the technical/quality aspects of the sites spares and equipment catalogue
- Develop procurement specifications, in conjunction with technical specialists & buyers
- Assist in the resolution of Quality and Technical problems.
- Assist in addressing obsolescence issues including reverse engineering and carryout QC and Store Hold Inspections.
- Provide advice and input for procurement engineering training and support and underpin the Materials Planning process.
- Working Knowledge of AP928 and Work Management Process
- Represent client at Station and Corporate meetings.
Qualifications
- Educated to minimum HNC level in an engineering discipline.
- Sound working knowledge of technical & quality assurance arrangements.
- Knowledge of standards applicable to the procurement.
- A flexible working approach which includes supplier & other business unit visits necessary to support continuous improvement.
