Vacancy Overview
Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK's climate change agenda and energy policy. Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Engineer within the Project Delivery Organisation Quality function. You'll play a vital part in the success of its goals.

Responsibilities:
• Reporting directly to the Quality Leads you will assist them in solving complex, challenging issues and help ensure Quality Delivery ways of working are effective in achieving right first-time delivery.
• You'll enjoy the opportunity to occasionally travel to project locations within the UK to achieve close collaboration with our wider project team members and other stakeholders.
• You'll be supporting the Quality Leads in managing daily PDO Quality QA/QC activities, including creating, reviewing, updating and reporting on PDO Quality governance, manufacturing/construction documents.
• You'll have opportunities to take ownership and drive improvements, such as developing processes and procedures, audit plans, implementing new methodologies using problem solving techniques to identify and resolve issues.

Required Experience
• You'll have experience of working in the Manufacturing/Construction/Engineering industry and experience of working within an ISO 9001 operating environment.
• Ideally, you'll also have experience of working within a project environment.
• As a minimum educated to HNC/HND qualification level in a science/engineering based subject, or equivalent qualification.
• You'll be IT literate with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Outlook and SharePoint.
• Experience in QA/QC and use of reporting tools.
• Experience of capturing and driving continuous improvement methods and tools.
• You'll be organised, have a good attention to detail, along with a structured approach to work planning and execution.
