Contract type: Permanent

Start date: January / February 2025

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (negotiable, depending upon experience)

The Project:

This client has a diverse portfolio of civil engineering schemes ranging from major highways schemes, local roads, maintenance works and specialist framework projects.

The specific projects that you would be working on initially would be highways and infrastructure bias, so therefore, experience in this area is required.

The Role:

This is the perfect opportunity working with a well known civils contractor, who hold an excellent reputation Nationwide.

This role will be site based, with the occasional need to spend time in the Head Office.

You will be responsible for:

  • Some setting out duties, so you will need experience of setting out using a fully robotic total station (the client will provide the kit, so you do not need to provide your own)
  • Dealing with paperwork, such as RAMS, as builts and QA
  • Issuing permits
  • Completing ITP's
  • Overseeing 2-3 engineers if and when required
  • Setting out areas, using drawings provided
  • Quality Assurance
  • Carrying out precise works to project specifications
  • Keeping site records and diaries
  • Writing and reviewing RAMS
  • ITPs
  • Health & Safety compliance
  • Liaising with site staff

Requirements:

  • Degree / HND qualified
  • AutoCAD
  • Use of Total Stations or GPS
  • Experience in - highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks and special works
  • Ability to explain design ideas and plans clearly and concisely
  • Excellent communicator both written and verbal
  • Ability to work within budgets and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work within a team
  • SMSTS preferred
  • CSCS
