- Overseeing the smooth and efficient execution of construction projects in Leiston, Suffolk.
- Managing and coordinating site operations, including resources, materials, and subcontractors, to ensure project delivery within established timeframes and budget.
- Utilising your vetting clearance to comply with project-specific security and confidentiality requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, implementing appropriate measures, and promoting a safety-first culture on the site.
- Collaborating closely with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure effective communication and smooth project progression.
- Conducting regular site inspections, monitoring progress, and addressing any issues or delays that may arise.
- Managing site documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and daily reports.
- Providing leadership and guidance to the site team, including supervisors, tradespeople, and laborers, to maintain high-quality standards and achieve project objectives.
Desirable Experience of a Site Supervisor:
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor in the construction industry.
- Vetting clearance is essential to comply with project-specific security requirements.
- A valid SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) or SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) qualification is essential.
- First Aid certification (e.g., Emergency First Aid at Work) is essential.
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card is essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
