Production Operative / Machine Operatorwho is punctual, with a meticulous attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills is required for a well-established company based in Leiston, Suffolk.

Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar role, although this isn’t essential as full training will be provided. However, you will need a Forklift Licence, which is essential.

SALARY: £28,579 per annum / £13.74 per Hour + Overtime Paid at Time and a Half + Benefits (Life cover of 3x salary plus Income Protection covers 50% of salary for up to 2 years)

LOCATION: Leiston, Suffolk

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday (Days Only)

KEY REQUIREMENT: Having a Forklift Licence is essential

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Production Operative / Machine Operator who is punctual, with a meticulous attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills.

Working as a Production Operative / Machine Operator you will ensure the safe running of the machines in line with the training provided and that Health and Safety practices are upheld in line with the Company guidelines.

As a Production Operative / Machine Operator you are responsible for ensuring that any product produced meets the quality standards of the business as set by the Quality Director and operate Mills, Automatic Bagging Lines, Manual Bagging Lines, Screening Machines, and other machinery as required.

DUTIES

Once trained your duties as a Production Operative / Machine Operator will include:

• Operate various machinery (Mills, Bagging Lines, Screening Machines)

• Ensure safe and efficient operation of machinery

• Maximise output and meet standards

• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting

• Report maintenance issues promptly

• Complete production paperwork accurately

• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness

• Assist with goods movement (loading/unloading vehicles)

• Operate a Forklift truck (valid licence required)

• Provide cover for other operatives as needed
