Currently seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in Civil Engineering to join our dynamic team at Sizewell.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for civil engineering projects.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to determine project viability.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate cost control and project delivery.

  • Monitor and manage project costs, including materials, labour, and equipment.

  • Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, and procurement strategies.

  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.

  • Maintain accurate records of project costs and financial transactions.

  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the civil engineering industry.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is a plus.
