Team Leader Residential Childcare Worker - Leominster
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join our team in Leominster (near Hereford). We offer a supportive environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of young people with emotional behavioural difficultiesWhat you'll do:
- Lead and mentor: Supervise and support a team of care staff, ensuring high-quality care and a safe environment.
- Promote well-being: Build positive relationships with children, encouraging independence and personal development.
- Safeguarding: Ensure children are protected and concerns are addressed promptly.
- Care planning: Implement individual care plans and contribute to reviews.
- Operational support: Contribute to the smooth running of the home, including staff recruitment and training.
- Crisis management: Respond to challenging situations, applying de-escalation techniques.
What you'll need:
- Experience in a similar role within a children's residential home or care setting.
- Full UK Driving License
- Experience working with children or young people.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A good understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding.
- NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).
- Willingness to work towards Level 5 in Leadership and Management (if not already qualified).
