Audit Trainee (Top 20 accounting firm) Letchworth, Hertfordshire £20,000 to £22,000 + full study support Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting an outstanding Top 20 firm of accountants based from ultra-modern offices in the picturesque town of Letchworth, that are keen to appoint a an Audit Trainee to support senior members of the team in the planning and completion of audit work and to assist on audit fieldwork for a variety of clients. Role Requirements - Checking a client's financial information, purchase, and sales invoices Controls review and walkthrough testing Checking bank balances and bank statements Reviewing client payroll records for accuracy Ensure sound knowledge of a client and its industry by researching background information and useful publications Other non-defined audit work Develop communication skills and build relationships with key stakeholders to include partner, manager, senior and client staff Utilise audit software (CCH Pro Audit, CCH Accounts Production, Digita Corporation Tax and Inflo) Attend client meetings and social activities Develop and apply technical knowledge gained from studies and on the job experience and suggest improvements to existing systems and processes. Person Requirements - A recent school leaver with a strong record of academic achievement in GCSE's and A-Levels Experience gained working for a firm of accountants would be advantageous but not essential Excellent communication skills and ability to engage and build rapport with individuals at all levels Technically 'savvy' with experience of using various software packages This is a fantastic opportunity for an academically astute and ambitious individual to start their career working for an accounting firm of choice where progression is actively promoted and where you will be fully supported through your studies.
