Management Accountant Letchworth Garden City £45000 + bonus and hybrid working

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the Management Accountant plays an integral role for finance team.You will ideally be a part-qualified/newly qualified accountant studying towards your professional accountancy qualifications (ACCA or CIMA) with strong aspirations to complete your studies and progress accordingly. The Management Accountant plays a crucial role in providing a high quality, professional and responsive financial analysis, insight and decision-making support service to the Group.This permanent role is based upon 37.5hrs between Monday and Friday, which after a successful training and induction period will operate on a hybrid basis, to include 3 days per week based onsite at the central offices in Letchworth. Key accountabilities

• Ensure consistent, precise and timely accounting procedures are adhered to throughout the Group.• Ensure timely and precise reporting of monthly management accounts for all relevant Group companies • Support and assist with annual external and internal auditing • Maintain cost centre profit and loss account for Group functions and support cost centre owners in review and management of central costs. • Assist with preparation of monthly consolidated financial information for the group.• Variance analysis • Balance sheet reconciliations • Provide support to Account Assistant • Proactively identify areas for improvement and contribute towards a culture of continuous improvement• Attend and contribute to management/department meetings where require• Any other ad hoc work required by the Finance Business PartnerSkills & experience• Relevant previous experience• Possess an excellent working understanding of accounting.• Advanced Excel user• Experience of financial systems• Capacity to maintain exceptional attention to detail whilst managing high volume data and working to tight deadlines• Experience of creating accurate and timely reports, with the ability to effectively interrogate and summarise data to produce business insights• Demonstrable logical and analytical approach, with an excellent level of numeracy• Confident and influential communicator, with the ability to and build positive relationships at all levels• Part/ fully qualified ACCA or equivalent
