Willmott Dixon are growing their finance team and are seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This role sits within the finance team responsible for servicing the Group's operating business units and the successful candidate will ideally have some previous finance knowledge ie processing invoices and some reconciliations experience. The successful candidate could be studying for the AAT qualification already or be looking to start this qualification as Willmott Dixon do offer study support

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Maintaining the financial ledgers
  • Raising supplier payments and sales invoices
  • Producing VAT and CIS returns
  • Assisting with production of monthly management accounts
  • Undertaking various reconciliations

The role will also incorporate various central function routine tasks and accounting for other small group subsidiaries, providing an excellent variety of experience.

About the role

The Group Finance Team is responsible for providing centralised finance support to the main board and to the individual LCOs. The team comprises 50 people across Accounting, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Payroll and Sub- Contractor Payments teams. The key responsibilities of the Finance Team are

  • Providing timely and accurate monthly Management Reporting
  • Production of all statutory reporting including biannual Group accounts
  • Tax and Compliance
  • Goods Partner and supply chain payments management
  • Treasury and accounts receivable
  • Payroll

Essential and Desirable Criteria

Essential Criteria

  • Strong Academic record.
  • AAT part- qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Proven experience in using Microsoft Excel

As this role sits within our finance team, the successful candidate will be asked to complete a DBS check as part of the onboarding process at Willmott Dixon.
