We are looking to appoint a Nursing Team Lead to support, motivate and mentor our Inpatient Unit Team here at Garden House Hospice Care.

Who are we?

Garden House Hospice Care is a multi-award-winning organisation that provides care for those with any life limiting illness, with the goal of actively enhancing their quality of life. Our low patient to Nurse ratio allows us to provide the highest standards of individualised care to enhance the quality of life for our patients and their carers & families.

Since January 2024, as an extension of our outstanding care for all patients with life limiting conditions, GHHC started an innovative service to support patients with moderate to severe frailty and two or more long term conditions. This service has been featured repeatedly on the BBC news and radio and has been awarded three awards, including the Palliative Care Service of the Year Award at the Palliative and End of Life Care Awards.

What does the Nursing Team Lead role involve?

You will support the Inpatient Unit Manager to ensure optimum care standards for patients and their families. You will be a Registered Nurse with NMC Registration, supporting and overseeing nurses, APs, NAs and HCAs as well as student nurses to deliver direct and indirect care. You will be compassionate with a good understanding of the needs of patients living with life limiting illness and their loved ones.
