Lead Electrical Technician

I am currently seeking a Lead Electrical Technician on behalf of my client, a leading designer and manufacturer of multi-stage ultrasonic cleaning and coating systems. Established in 1997, they supply cutting-edge solutions to a global customer base across multiple industries.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Lead Electrical Technician

  • Assemble and wire electrical components, control panels, and machines.
  • Perform mechanical assembly work, including drilling and tapping machine frames, control boxes, and control panels.
  • Read and follow electrical schematics accurately.
  • Always ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Identify and report any build process issues, such as part shortages or inaccurate drawings.
  • Manage and lead the electrical team, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • Work closely with the Operations Director, lead mechanical technician, and engineers to ensure designs are correctly implemented.
  • Communicate any required design changes effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise team members, fostering continuous development.

 

Requirements of the Lead Electrical Technician

  • Proven experience in electrical assembly, wiring, and team leadership.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Good time management, flexibility, and ability to adapt to project needs.
