Our client are seeking a skilled and experienced Digital/Lithographic Printer to join our team on a permanent basis for their night shift operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in printing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

You will be responsible for setting up and operating both digital and lithographic presses to produce high-quality printed materials according to specifications, ensuring consistent output and minimising waste.

Key Responsibilities:
Operation & Setup: Set up, operate, and maintain digital or lithographic printing presses to produce printed materials on various substrates.
Quality Control: Monitor print jobs throughout the production process to ensure high-quality standards are met, adjusting settings as necessary to maintain consistency.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any mechanical or technical issues with the presses and perform routine maintenance to keep machines in optimal working condition.
Job Preparation: Prepare files, substrates, and inks (or toner) according to the specifications of each job, ensuring accurate output.
Efficiency: Manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high production standards.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of jobs completed, including materials used, press settings, and any maintenance performed.
Health & Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills Required

Proven experience as a Digital Printer, Lithographic Printer, or in a similar role.
Familiarity with operating digital printing presses (e.g., Xerox, HP Indigo) or lithographic presses.
Experience in color management and print finishing is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
Ability to troubleshoot common printing issues and perform routine maintenance on machines.
Proficiency in using graphic design or prepress software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, RIP software) is advantageous.
Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high-quality output.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move print materials, and operate machinery.
Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work night shifts from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Team Player: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
