Position: Electronics Engineer
Location: Letchworth
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Our market leading client in the Letchworth area is now looking to add a talented Electronics Engineer to their team, you will be working towards the design and development of their next generation of innovative devices that are used around the globe.

About the Role:

As an Electronics Engineer, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of product development, from design and prototyping through to testing and production. You'll play a key role in designing, testing, and improving a wide range of electronic products that serve a host of international clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a diverse range of tasks in a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

What You Will Do:

  • Design and develop PCB layouts and conduct schematic capture for a variety of electronic products.
  • Work on SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supplies) design and troubleshooting.
  • Design, prototype, and test both analogue and digital circuits, ensuring they meet performance and reliability requirements.
  • Develop Embedded C software for microcontrollers, working closely with hardware teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, firmware developers, and product managers.
  • Conduct failure analysis and make design improvements as needed.
  • Support the transition from prototype to production, ensuring designs meet all necessary standards and certifications.

Who You Are:

  • A degree-qualified Electronics Engineer with at least 4 years of experience in PCB design, schematic capture, and embedded systems development.
  • Proficient in SMPS design and troubleshooting.
  • Experienced in working with both analogue and digital circuits, with a strong grasp of circuit theory and practical design.
  • Skilled in Embedded C programming, ideally with a range of microcontrollers.
  • Comfortable using design tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or similar.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
  • Highly motivated and eager to contribute to the ongoing success of a growing company.
