Are you someone keen make a difference in a challenging environment? Our client is one of the UK's fastest growing challenger banks, seeking a Collections and Arrears Specialist to join their team. Our client is a specialist business lender, and one of the UK's fastest growing start-up banking operations. They are seeking an indivisdual with experience in commerical collections and arrears to help them grow their team. Your Role: 
  • Identify and support the Bank’s customers who fall into arrears and show early warning signs of distressed debt
  • Support the management of relevant cases on the Banks Watchlist to reach a positive outcome for the customer and the Bank
  • Supporting customers with short term payment difficulties using forbearance strategies which are in the best interests of our customers where appropriate, overseeing the lifecycle of these forbearance agreements and raising any issues that are identified
  • Support the management of all cases where the appointment of an LPA Receiver or Administrator is likely (two consecutive periods of arrears without reasonable explanation within a 6-month period) by agreeing repayment strategies and liaising closely with the Recoveries team
Your essential skills: 
  • Experience within Financial Services.
  • Experience in dealing with Solicitors and Insolvency Practitioners. [Collections only]
  • Understanding of and expertise in Treating Customers Fairly
  • Understanding of and expertise in dealing with vulnerable lending customers.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and coordinate a heavy workload with colleagues.
