A position has become available for a full-time Skilled Metal Fabricatorfor a prototype engineering company based in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week, 7.30am 4.00pm Monday Thursday, 7.30am 1.00pm Friday. Salary will up to £19.80 per hour + overtime for the right candidate.

About the Company:
Our client are a leading engineering business, Letchworth based they specializie in Prototypes & Low Volume Production Sheet Metal Pressings, Stampings and Fabrication to the Highest Quality.
ROLE:
- Skilled Metal Fabricator candidates must be able to read engineering drawings, understand tolerances / bend allowances / being experienced in / fabrication and sheet-metal machinery.
- Duties include Welding and fabrication in stainless steel, Aluminium, and mild steel material 1.0mm - 12mm thickness including pipework.
- The Ability to make assembly weld fixtures.
- MIG welding both sub and main assemblies either on a fabrication JIG or freehand.
- Sanding\Grinding components or assemblies to achieve the stated dimensions and finish.
Requirements for the Sheet Metal Fabricator:
- The role requires manual lifting so applicants should be fit and able.
- Actively seek opportunities for Continuous Improvement.
- Sheet Metal Fabrication experience
- Be able to fabricate Stainless steel, Aluminium and Mild steel.
- Welding experience.
- The ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
