Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant

We’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dispensing Assistant to join a dynamic and innovative online pharmacy team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, providing exceptional service to customers, and supporting smooth pharmacy operations.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Dispense prescription medications following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure prescriptions are prepared accurately and efficiently.
  • Label and package medications in compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing enquiries and offering guidance on medication use.
  • Maintain inventory, restocking as needed and managing expired stock according to regulations.
  • Update and manage customer profiles with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support compliance with regulatory standards, including GPhC and GDP guidelines.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Assist in training new team members when necessary.
What We’re Looking For
  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above, or equivalent).
  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills or a similar qualification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good IT proficiency for data entry and inventory management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and a commitment to following them.
