As Machine Shop Manager you will:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of a machine shop being responsible for planning, operational management, and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure that organisational objectives and production goals are met.
- Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans as directed by the Managing Director to align the machine shop with business objectives.
- Plan and manage daily production in line with the order book and future projects.
- Programme, set up, and operate CNC machines.
- Manager and develop a multi-skilled, flexible, and motivated team.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency.
- Program / offline program using CADCAM software.
We are keen to speak to people about this Machine Shop Manager opportunity who have the following skills and experience:
- A strong background in CNC / high-level manufacturing environments.
- Proficient in CAD / CAM software.
- Prototype Projects
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and equipment, up to 5 Axis.
- Proven experience managing or supervising a team.
- Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
In return you will receive a salary of £45,000 - £62,000 pa, company pension and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Hours are 37.5 overtime is 1.5 after this.
