Job Description:Hays Recruitment is seeking a skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team for a 3-month project based in Letchworth. The successful candidate will work within occupied properties and social housing, ensuring high-quality craft skills and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing carpentry tasks including installation, repair, and maintenance of structures and fixtures.
- Work efficiently within occupied properties, respecting residents' privacy and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
- Always adhere to health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably within social housing or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
- Carpentry experience includes locks, hanging doors, boxing in, and PVC window and door repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
