Job Description:
We are seeking a Transport Planner to join our clients team based in Letchworth. This role is a permanent role to start as soon as possible. You ideally will have previous experience in a similar role and be a good team planner and able to work towards strict deadlines and targets
Key Responsibilities:
Speaking to customers and suppliers on the phone.
Responding to emails in a professional manner.
Creating export paperwork for drivers.
Quoting for new business via email & phone
Using Microsoft Office (Mainly Word and Excel )
Preparing drivers paperwork
Raising job files, costing & invoicing
Liaising with drivers to ensure delivery of service.
Scanning and Filing.
General Admin
Knowledge and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a proven background in transport and be able to work well individually and within a busy team environment. A strong work ethic, attention to detail and commercial acumen is essential. We would like you to have European transport planning experience but this is not essential to the role.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: Up to 30,000 per annum depending on experience
Schedule:
Monday to Friday days and lates- weekly Rota in place
